Mobile developer Krafton, which handles the publishing duties for PUBG:
Battlegrounds, is going to help Palworld maker Pocketpair prepare the creature-catching game for release on mobile as well. Despite Nintendo suing it, Pocketpair will thus bring its creature-catching adventure onto mobile devices. Krafton has just recently announced acquiring rights for Palworld and is going to port the game into handheld play, an activity first reported by Polygon.
In a translated statement, the company Krafton affirmed its desire to “faithfully reinterpret” the game’s core features for a mobile environment. Notably, it has been remarkably successful in launching PUBG for mobile in 2018, which also excelled in expectations.
This game, often colloquially referred to as “Pokémon with guns,” quickly became popular after its release on PC and Xbox in January, when millions of copies sold-in were recorded as players captured creatures across the vast Palpagos Islands. But the game has encountered a problem-some, in the form of a lawsuit filed against Pocketpair by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for alleged patent infringement on several patents.
Contrarily, Pocketpair said that it is “not aware of the particular patents” in the claim. Now, Palworld has finally launched on PlayStation 5 but has been indefinitely delayed in Japan. Another thing is that Nintendo seems to be also on the move against the Switch emulators, and the latest casualty is Ryujinx.
