Elon Musk internet Company Starlink has been registered in Pakistan. IT Minister Shiza Fatima confirmed that StarLink is registered with securities and Exchange of Pakistan.
Report indicate that the expected price of Starlink internet services in Pakistan is quite high.

Monthly fees are around PKR 35,000 for speeds between 50 and 250 Mbps, while hardware installation costs around PKR 110,000.

Considering these prices IT experts believe that if the government fixes the current problems with internet connectivity, There is no need for such expensive services. Currently, consumers in Pakistan are facing slow internet speeds. And the service required from Starlink is also one of the most expensive.
Minister Shiza Fatima said there was a need to set rules for such companies. Even though Starlink’s registration has expired. After fulfilling legal requirements Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will issue necessary licenses.
Before Starlink’s entry, Chinese company Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology Limited (SSST) had also applied for SECP registration. The company aims to provide affordable, high-speed internet. It plans to launch 648 satellites by 2025 and aims for 30,000 satellites by 2030. Considering the challenge of internet speed and availability in Pakistan.
